At Al Danah Tours, we follow a clear and fair cancellation and refund policy for all our tour programs. Please read this policy carefully before completing your booking, as it forms part of the contractual terms between us.
1. Cancellation by the Customer
- 72 hours or more before the scheduled tour start time: full refund of the amount paid.
- Within 72 hours of the tour: a cancellation fee of USD 35 applies, and the remaining amount is refunded.
- Within 24 hours of the tour: no refund of the amount paid.
2. No-show
If you do not show up at the agreed tour departure time and place without prior notice, the booking is treated as a cancellation within 24 hours (item 1 above) — i.e. no refund.
3. Rescheduling
You may request to reschedule your tour (instead of cancelling it) 72 hours or more before the original date at no extra charge, subject to availability of alternative dates. Requests made less than 72 hours in advance are handled at our team’s discretion and may be subject to the same cancellation fee described in item 1 if a suitable alternative date cannot be found.
4. Cancellation by Al Danah Tours
If we need to cancel a tour on our part (due to not reaching the minimum number of participants, or for operational reasons beyond our control), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you one of the following options, as you prefer:
- A full refund of the amount paid, or
- Rescheduling the tour to an alternative date at no extra charge.
5. Weather Conditions and Force Majeure
Tours that depend on outdoor activities (such as hiking) may continue in normal weather conditions (rain, moderate wind). If weather conditions become genuinely unsafe for the tour to continue, or in other force majeure situations (natural disasters, government closures, security disruptions), the tour will be rescheduled or its route adjusted to ensure safety. If rescheduling is not possible, the amount paid will be fully refunded. We are not responsible for any additional costs independently incurred by the customer (such as flight tickets or hotel bookings outside our program) as a result of these conditions.
6. Non-refundable Fees
The cancellation fee mentioned in item 1 (USD 35 for cancellations within 72 hours) is an administrative and operational fee and is non-refundable. Additionally, any amounts already paid to third-party suppliers on your behalf (such as visas or non-refundable bookings) may not be fully refundable — we will inform you of any such case at the time of booking, if applicable.
7. Refund Processing Time
When a refund is due, it will be processed within 7 to 14 business days from the date the cancellation request is approved, via the same payment method originally used for the booking.
8. Private and Group Bookings
Private Tours and group bookings (for groups of more than 6 people) may be subject to different cancellation terms agreed in writing at the time of booking, due to the customized nature of the arrangements (advance bookings with guides and private transportation). In the absence of a different written agreement, the general cancellation policy above applies.
9. Differing Terms of External Suppliers
Some of our programs rely on services from external suppliers (hotels, airlines, transport companies). These parties have their own cancellation and refund policies which may differ from ours above. If your program includes this type of booking, we will clarify any additional supplier-specific terms at the time of booking, and the more restrictive of the two policies will apply to the relevant part of the booking.
